Natasha Subramaniam is a Los Angeles-based creative with extensive development and production experience in film, TV, and online multimedia. She has directed award winning independent films and contributes video content to web publications including NOWNESS and the Huffington Post. Her work has been featured in film festivals including Telluride, AFI Film Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival where she won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Animated Short Film. Most recently, her film work was featured in the New York Sunday Times, Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, Wall Street Journal, and Gothamist and continues to exhibit worldwide.
Translating her passion for photography and the visual arts to all of her treatment projects, Natasha has been art directing and doing visual research for director's presentations for over three years. Her collaborations encompass work for some of the top international production companies including HSI, a WHITELABEL Product, Bandito Brothers, Pony Show, Digital Domain, Wild Plum, Radical Media, RSA, Partizan, and others.
She has an MFA in film/video from California Institute of the Arts and currently freelances bicoastally and in Western Europe as a filmmaker as well as visual researcher and designer.
